COVID-19 Cleanse: A “19” Day Plan to Boost Your Immunity Through a Plant-Based Diet
America is in the midst of the worst pandemic to hit this country in more than 100 years.
So far, nearly 5 million people in the U.S. have tested positive for the Coronavirus and more than 150,000 have died.
Statistically, one in 200 people will test positive. Fortunately, a positive diagnosis doesn’t have to result in loss of life.
With the cases increasing by the thousands every day, many people feel fearful. That’s especially the case for high risk populations like senior citizens, and those with compromised immune systems due to health conditions like diabetes and cancer.
But guess what? There IS hope!
Regardless of your health, there are things you can do to significantly reduce your risk. Best of all, it does not require you to invest in experimental treatments or pricey medication.
It’s ALL based on NUTRITION!
What we eat has everything to do with our health, and unfortunately, too many of us are living with a severely depleted immune function.
The Standard American Diet (aka SAD diet) is nutrient deficient. We are eating too many highly processed foods, foods with added sweeteners, and animal fats and protein. At the same time, we are not eating enough fruits, beans, seeds, and vegetables which leaves us lacking in hundreds of the most important immune-building compounds.
According to Dr. Joel Fuhrman (in his book, Super Immunity), “By changing our diets and combining foods that contain powerful immune-strengthening capabilities, we can prevent most common modern diseases.”
The modern diet is not slightly deficient in just a handful of micronutrients; it is grossly deficient in hundreds of important plant-derived, immunity building compounds.
Dr. Fuhrman says in order to get optimal amounts of immune-protective micronutrients, we have to eat LOTS of vegetables.
Unfortunately, most people don’t eat enough vegetables to have a measurable impact on their health.
That’s where we come in…
We’ve created the “COVID-19 Cleanse.” This 19-Day program is a plant-based approach to help you boost your immunity and fight off this virus.

A certified Health Coach is a wellness authority and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. In particular, Health Coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments.
During her training at IIN, Latrina studied over 100 diet theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts, including Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
Latrina has followed a plant-based diet for the past eight years and believes wholeheartedly in what Hippocrates, the founder of Western Medicine, said, “Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.”
Also, in 2012 she founded Plant Food ROCKS as a blog to promote the benefits of a plant-based diet because research shows Plant Food – Reduces the Onset of Cancer and Kills Sickness (ROCKS).
In 2018, she transitioned Plant Food ROCKS (PFR) from a blog to a nonprofit organization that creates community and school gardens in low-income, underserved, minority communities to cultivate a generation of school-aged children who are educated about the benefits of a plant-based diet, and are empowered to grow their own food and motivate their families do the same.
The vision of PFR is to create a society where we seek plant-based foods to heal our bodies, renew our minds, and to replenish our spirit to the point where we ultimately eradicate overpriced healthcare because it won’t be necessary beyond preventive care.
For Latrina, the end game of all of her health efforts is to create a ripple effect so that we become the change we want to see in the world!
