The Blog

No matter what we’re going through in life, research has proven time and time again that physical activity and good nutrition will make it better.

Right now, we’re in the midst of an international pandemic that has changed our entire existence. We’re unable to do a lot of things. But whether you live on a farm in rural Georgia or in a 500 square foot apartment in Manhattan, you can do something to maintain or improve your health.

Never has it been more important for you to do so than it is right now.

Living in quarantine has triggered a lot of mental health issues. Because of extraordinary isolation, many people are suffering from depression and anxiety.

Yet, despite that, you need to know there is HOPE.

I’m a firm believer in the healing effects of nutrition and exercise. So, I wanted to share an interview with a health expert who happens to agree with me.

Gerald “G-Fit” Brown is someone I have known for more than 30 years. We met while we were both in the Navy stationed in Pensacola, Florida. My earliest recollections of him are of him being obsessed with fitness.

Ironically, his low self-esteem as a young man led him to his fitness journey. He eventually became a professional body builder and today is one of the top professional trainers in Birmingham. At his studio, Body Fitness Exclusive, he helps men and women transform their lives as they transform their bodies.

We recorded this interview a couple of months ago before the COVID-19 crisis. But with the challenges many people are facing due to the trappings of isolation and growing feelings of despair, this is the perfect time to share it.

We NEED a mindset shift!

Once you listen to this interview, you will realize you have way more control over your health and your life than you realize.

In this interview, Gerald shares:

  1. The important role mindset plays in weight loss and overall health.
  2. Why obtaining optimal health requires a holistic approach.
  3. How his lifestyle choices played a major role in him overcoming Stage 3 prostate cancer.
  4. His life saving message to black men that will help them prevent unnecessary death from prostate cancer.

So, no matter how bleak your life looks like right now, you are about to discover that you have the power to turn it all around.
